visibility. >> new and overnight news this morning crews are currently on the scene of a water main break in san francisco. >> it is in the north beach neighborhood at the intersection of the word and maze of streets. witnesses said the water is gushing into the streets. no word yet on what caused the water main break. we have a crew headed to the scene, and we will bring the updates as they become available. >> our other top stories a pedestrian chasing after murdoch has died after apparently being hit by two cars outside of santa rosa. >> it happen around 8:00 p.m. last night in the intersection of west avenue and legal end court. this is in an unincorporated area of santa rosa and roseland. >> chp says the vehicle struck--forem the woman then a

second car struck the woman while down the road. she was transported to a local hospital where she later died. >> a 10 month old baby girl was found dead in a field in salinas. after family members reporter missing. little angel negron was found under a bush. the last time angeles family saw her was back on february 2nd when her mother's boyfriend hazels espinoza picture of to watch the superbowl at his home. >> but after two weeks, and in telling them to occur to disneyland, loved ones got word. they alerted the party on saturday and that is in the search for a little angel began. the monterey county sheriff's office however did not issue ever alert. officials say that is in part because they did not have a description of the suspect car. >> a zoo's, was arrested

are investigating remains found in an unincorporated area of santa tail county. >> about 2 mi. off skyline boulevard. police were called to the purrisima creek redwoods open space preserve on monday where they found skeletal remains. witnesses say they stumbled across the bones when there are hiking about 100 ft. off the trail. the identity of the remains are unknown at this time. >> stanford university has set a new record in college fund raising it has become the first school to collect more than a billion dollars in a single year. >> the eighth straight year, stanford is ranked first in an annual college fund raising survey. the report down roughly 3500 u.s. colleges and universities raise $31 billion in the 2012 fiscal year. that is

>> spending cuts were mandated by 2011 agreement to raise the debt ceiling. >> the idea behind the cuts would force congress to come together behind a comprehensive deficit reduction plan. so far that plan has backfired. >> i am tory dunnan kron 4 news. >> after a month of striking, new york city school bus drivers to serve more than 150,000 students will be returning to work. regular bus schedules resume today on all 7700 route serving the nation's largest public school system. 5000 of those routes were affected by the strike. bus drivers and assistance walked off the job back in january 16th forcing students to take taxis, public transportation are car service to and from class. the strike affected 152,000 of the city's 1.1 million schoolchildren. many of those children are disabled or have no other way to get to school. union

>> welcome back the time is 4:30. crews are currently on the scene of this water main break in san francisco at the intersection of filbert the mason street and the north beach neighborhood. kron fours mike pelton is live from the scene with more. >> good morning mike. >> good morning anny. you can see water still gushing out from the sidewalk. this is being done in two different locations here on the left and right side of your screen at this point crews have been able to turn off a lot of the water valves and prevent the water from flooding the intersection as it did earlier. the main process

what they need to do is to move some of the cars a lot filbert. you can see beyond the truck so that they can drill into the road and figure out because of the problem. they need to move some of the cars. this is speculation at this point as the what apartment is not know exactly what the problem is. they tell me if could be cost from old age from some of the iron pipes and cold weather. they will dig into the ground over the next several hours and try to figure out what caused the problem and repair the road. at this point at this intersection there is a lot of water. you may want to avoid this area. they have closed down the cable cars in this particular section and will run a shuttle bus brought the area. a lot of the residents about to blocks of filbert is also shut off so a lot of the residents. they have not given a timetable. it could take most of the day. back

up now. it took them and power to shut off the water that impacted maybe 200 people. this was an aide to blocks banned from here to jones. from mason to jones they cut off and water should be restored to those homes. they should be restoring water to those place over the next several minutes using other forms of pipes. why this happened they did not know. here is video we got of the water gushing. it came out of nowhere. this sent thousands of gallons into the street rushing here. this is why you see the mess that has been caused by the water main break. that was in the next several hours cleaning up. it has impacted the cable service. this runs across the cable line for cable cars. they plan to do shuttle service at around 530 this morning. we got a chance to talk to some of the businesses. one business person is talking about what
